When Transylvanian twins Gabriela and Monica Irimia arrived at the Popstars: The Rivals auditions wearing tiny hotpants and singing about men touching their bum, the judges didn't have a clue what was going on.
But despite being branded the 'worst act ever' by Pete Waterman, the fans loved them and within weeks they'd scored their own record deal.
Their debut single Cheeky Song (Touch My Bum) - which was famously written by their mum Margit - went straight to number two in December 2002 and sold 1.2million copies worldwide.
Two more top three singles followed - Take Your Shoes Of and (Hooray, Hooray) It's a Cheeky Holiday! - and a hit album titled PartyTime.
