She plays Sian – a mysterious woman welcomed in as a lodger by Nick and Jessica, a couple in dire financial straits who need the cash. But they start to worry about Sian’s true intentions when she begins borrowing Jessica’s clothes, acting overly familiar with Nick and developing an inappropriate rapport with their daughter Alice.

A new gripping drama has landed on Channel 5 bringing some familiar faces back to our TV screens. The four-part series starring Jill Halfpenny and Lee Ingleby airs from tonight (Monday, April 8) and has promised to leave viewers on the edge of their seats.

The Cuckoo follows Sian, a woman who inserts herself in the lives of Nick and Jessica as she moves into their home as a lodger. Sian quickly causes trouble for the married couple and their adopted daughter Alice.The trio have moved to their dream home in the country but due to a financial crisis, they are forced to take in a lodger to help pay for their mortgage. From becoming close with Nick to forming an inappropriate relationship with Alice, it's not long before Jessica realises Sian is not who she claimed to be.
