Crisis-hit Cambuslang Rangers 'could go out of business' fears junior club legend

Cambuslang Rangers legend Alan Wardlaw fears the club could close its doors as it plunged into another crisis. Secretary David Ashcroft resigned from his position at the weekend, citing a “strained” working relationship , and claiming, “I’m not losing a friend over football.” He became the second committee member to leave the club in as many months, following former vice-chairman Jim Logan’s exit.

With Lang mired in an on-field relegation battle after the draw with Craigmark and facing an ongoing £26,000 cash dispute with former treasurer Nikki Niven, former goalkeeper and gaffer Wardlaw admits he is worried about the long term future of the club.
