iOS - Android Planning and building standards manager Tina Meikle told South Lanarkshire Council's planning committee on Tuesday, August 10, that plans had been scaled back from 22 flats in total to 18 and that a contemporary design would be used.She added that a "20m buffer" of heavy screening would remain between the development and the nearest houses.The 18 flats will overlook the golf course to the rear and enough parking will be provided at the front for two cars per flat.Ms Meikle said: "The site comprises surplus land that the golf club has to the east of the car park."It is currently unkempt and overgrown and there are some old equipment sheds on it."The applicants are seeking planning permission for a flatted development of 18.
