Maksim Chmerkovskiy Has Emotional Reunion with Peta Murgatroyd After Returning Home to L.A.

After their hug, Maks and Peta, 35, held hands as they made their way out of the airport and back home.
If you didn’t know, Maks was in Ukraine last week when Russia invaded the country. He has been documenting his journey to get back on social media, revealing that he had to hide out in a bomb shelter and was arrested before finally making it onto a train and getting to Poland.
From Poland, he was finally able to get a flight home to the United States. Maks recently called out one of his former Dancing with the Stars partners after she made insensitive comments about the war.
