Coronavirus: Neighbours fans convinced soap 'predicted' Covid-19 in 1991

Neighbours shut down production in March due to the coronavirus, before re-starting days later, but long-time fans of the series reckon it predicted the Covid-19 outbreak back in the 1990s.

In an episode from August 1991, Pam Willis (Sue Jones) came down with what she thought was the "Bahgee flu" and headed to the doctors.

She returned home and asked her son Brad (Scott Michaelson) if he had been unwell recently. Brad told hid mum that he'd caught something while he was in jail, which made Pam realise that her son was the carrier.

Soon, Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis) popped around and Pam tried to hurry him out. However her husband Doug (Terence Donovan) said it was too late, as Paul had been around for an hour earlier on in the day.
