Alicia Witt shared that performing on "The Masked Singer" was more emotional than she "could have possibly imagined." The 47-year-old actress and musician was eliminated from the FOX reality competition television series on Wednesday night after being unmasked as Dandelion.  The "Twin Peaks" alum's appearance on the show came after a painful and challenging year in which she fought breast cancer, underwent reconstruction surgery and coped with the unexpected loss of her parents, who were found dead in their home in December 2021. In an interview with Fox News Digital, Witt opened up about how she believed her late parents had a role in helping her get the opportunity and were there with her along the way.

It was “Masked Singer in Space Night,” but “The Masked Singer” could have also been celebrating “’90s Night.” That’s because the two celebrities unmasked on Wednesday’s episodes were both TV stars from that era: Melissa Joan Hart (of “Clarissa Explains It All” and “Sabrina the Teenage Witch” fame) and Alicia Witt (“Cybill,” “Mr. Holland’s Opus”). Hart was revealed to be Lamp, while Witt was Dandelion. Witt had won the previous week as Dandelion, but her journey ended here. For Dandelion, panelist Ken Jeong guessed Witt right. Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg thought it was Milla Jovovich. Robin Thicke went with Sara Bareilles and Nicole Scherzinger named Zooey Deschanel.

All about the silver lining. Alicia Witt is celebrating her hair growth after finishing up treatment amid her battle with breast cancer. 

In June, she celebrated finishing up a round of of 'chemical therapy' before she underwent a unilateral mastectomy.And on Saturday, the actress shared a snap of her hair growth and revealed what she used to get there.The 47-year-old star wrote: 'I don't mean for this to be a vanity post! But - I do want to share because I know that there are a lot of you here who have gone through the same. And I'm honestly feeling pretty elated about the state of my hair right now.' She also posted a selfie as well as photos in which she removed the protective head and chest coverings she wore while receiving treatments.«Just a little over 2 months ago, i had my last round of chemical therapy prior to my mastectomy,» Witt wrote alongside the set of images and videos.She went on to thank her team of doctors at Tennessee Oncology, who were by her side as she rang the bell.«Although we didn’t yet know for absolute certain until after the mastectomy that the disease was completely healed from my left breast, this marked the end of my carboplatin/taxotere, + herceptin/perjeta (the latter two are immunotherapies which will continue, per protocol for HER2+, through the end of this year),» Witt shared.She also thanked her «tiny crew of human angels» for helping her get through all six treatments and helping her change her therapy cap to  not only prevent hair loss but also keep her diagnosis private until she was fully healed.«I had a tiny crew of human angels surrounding me for all 6 treatments, not only keeping my spirits high, but tending to and changing my @penguincoldcapsglobal.
