Range Media Partners Signs ‘The Perfect Find,’ ‘Unprisoned’ Director Numa Perrier
deadline.comEXCLUSIVE: Range Media Partners has signed Haitian-American actor, writer, filmmaker, and artist Numa Perrier, whose well known Netflix rom-com The Perfect Find, starring Gabrielle Union and Keith Powers, won the Audience Award at the 2023 Tribeca Film Festival.
Prior to directing that film, Perrier made her feature directorial debut with the critically acclaimed Jezebel, a 2019 SXSW Critics Pick hitting Netflix via Array Releasing, which she also wrote and starred in.
That film garnered numerous accolades, including Best Feature Film and Best Director at The American Black Film Festival, as well as a spot on the Rotten Tomatoes 2021 Directors to Watch List.
In television, Perrier has directed episodes of Reasonable Doubt, Young Rock, The Wonder Years, Queen Sugar and Unprisoned, starring Kerry Washington for Hulu, for which she won Best Director of a Comedy Series from The Hollywood Critics Association.
