A man was viciously attacked in Paisley which left blood splattered across the pavement and multiple police cordons in place.
Cops sealed off a section of Rowan Street on Monday night as they attended the scene where a 31-year-old man lay bleeding from his head around 8.35pm.
The initial attack is thought to have taken place at the junction of Stock Street and Espedair Street where police also sealed off an area, with a portion being covered by officers using a shield.
The man managed to stumble along to Rowan Street before collapsing outside a business premises. He was given first aid and later put in an ambulance and taken to the town’s Royal Alexandra Hospital for further treatment.
