Manchester United academy director Nick Cox has warned Kobbie Mainoo and the club's supporters not to get carried away by his stratospheric rise.
The academy graduate is poised to make his first start for England when they face Belgium at Wembley on Tuesday. He made his debut for the Three Lions as a second half substitute against Brazil on Saturday, playing 15 minutes.
Mainoo, who hails from Stockport, has enjoyed a stellar season so far despite it not getting under way until November because of injury.
He has made 20 appearances in all competitions, including 12 successive Premier League starts.
