Tributes have poured in after the sudden death of a Coltness High teacher described as a “true character”.Bernadette Hillen, who has taught at the school since 2003, died on Friday, aged just 44.The circumstances of her death have not yet been disclosed.The school’s head teacher, John McGilp, was first to pay tribute.He said: “The school community was shocked and deeply saddened to hear of the sudden passing of colleague and teacher Bernadette Hillen.“Pastoral care was Bernadette’s true calling.
She fully encapsulated the school values of ambition, endeavour, equality, inclusion, kindness and respect.“Bernadette was very much respected by her colleagues, pupils and those she supported.
