Speculation over the Paris Saint-Germain coach and his future in the French capital is at fever pitch. Manchester Evening News reported last month that United are working towards finding a permanent successor to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer before the end of this season - and Pochettino is viewed as one of the top contenders in that regard along with Erik ten Hag from Ajax.
Pochettino was, meanwhile, prepared to touch down at Old Trafford mid-campaign.
