C-SPAN is reinstating Washington Journal host and political editor Steve Scully, three months after he was suspended from the channel.
However, Scully will initially return in an off-air capacity. C-SPAN says that Scully will return to work this week, producing for its television programming and hosting Washington Today and The Weekly for C-SPAN Radio. "No date has been set for his return to C-SPAN's roster of on-air television hosts," the company said in a statement.
Scully was suspended from the companyin October after he sent an errant tweet to former Trump communications director Anthony Scaramucci and falsely claimed that his account had been hacked after receiving blowback for that tweet.
