BBC Breakfast star Sally Nugent shared a 12 second phone call with co-host Dan Walker before accepting her new role on the show.The 50-year-old journalist began filling in as a temporary host on the iconic red sofa 10 years ago.However, she was made main presenter on the programme since October last year following the departure of Louise Minchin.
She has opened up about how she accepted her role and the question she asked Dan before agreeing to the presenting job.Speaking to The Mirror, Sally said: "I did have a 12 second conversation with Dan before all of this started where I said, 'You are staying for a bit aren't you?' And he went, 'Yeah, I think so.'"So I was like right.
