A taxi driver who was left critically injured following an assault in Rochdale has died, police say. Detectives have launched a murder investigation over the death of Ali Asghar, aged 39, who was taken to hospital after being attacked on Saturday, October 30.
Police were called to the scene of the incident, on Queensway, at around 5am and found Mr Asghar with serious injuries. Two men have been charged in relation to the incident. Connor McPartland, 20, and Martin Treacy, 18, have both been charged with section 18 assault.
