OUR Yorkshire Farm's Amanda Owen was forced to 'act fast' as disaster struck in Ravenseat. The Yorkshire Shepherdess took to social media to share a video of her with one of her sheep, who had come down with conjunctivitis.

As she held the animal on the ground, Amanda told her 190,000 followers, she said: “Well, the wind is blowing again. And because I’m feeding the sheep hay, it’s irritating their eyes. "So I’m having to catch a few, they’ve got conjunctivitis.” She then explained what she was doing, saying: “It’s just temporary, all I have to do is treat them with a spray. “Now it does sting them when I spray them but usually one spray and they’re cured.

So it’s worthwhile doing." While it's worthwhile, the sheep don't like the treatment, with Amanda writing next to another video: “The North wind doth blow, and we shall have snow….& also sore eyes. “The sheep are very unwilling patients but if not treated they can lose their sight completely.
