Amanda Owen posted a sad update from her Ravenseat farm earlier today on social media.The Our Yorkshire Farm star admitted it “wasn’t to be” after hoping for a healthy new arrival on the farm.She explained how they’d been prepared to deliver a calf tonight but sadly it died during labour.Posting a series of pictures, she shared what happened with her 190,000 Twitter followers.Amanda penned: “The tups watch & await a new arrival.“The hope was for a healthy calf for Lily but this wasn’t to be.“*Lesley the vet was on call & as always did a great job but unfortunately the calf had already died during labour.*”The farmer also shared a warning about her images with her fans.She added: “*BIRTH IMAGE BUT NOTHING TOO GRAPHIC*.”In a separate tweet, the shepherdess shared how they had a plan to “make the best out of the situation”.This is because the expectant mother now had milk, but no calf to feed.Amanda explained: “Lily has an udder full of milk & is in a bit of a daze.“We have a pet calf, Stormy whose mother had no milk.“Time to make the best out of the situation.”In the series of pictures, she showed Lily, Stormy and her children helping out.Plenty of Amanda’s followers weighed in with their thoughts on the sad news this evening.Dai Humphreys wrote: “Sorry that must be so disappointing after all the love and care you give.”BonnieC added: “Ah poor girl.Sorry about the loss of the calf.”Lesley Bowman replied: “Poor Lily, that’s very sad.”Lynnelovesroses commented: “Hope Lily will be ok.”Pam Hoult wrote: “Aww so very sorry for your loss God bless.”“Oh, poor chick.
