Boris Johnson is expected to hold a press conference this morning announcing a post-Brexit trade deal with the EU after talks continued overnight and into Christmas Eve.
There was a speculation a deal would be announced last night after the Prime Minister underwent 24 hours of intense one-to-one phone negotiations with Ursula von der Leyen.
However, it was pushed out to this morning with both the EU and the UK checking over the final details overnight. The development came as Britain and the EU were believed to have made progress on resolving issues including fishing rights and the "level playing field" measures aimed at preventing unfair competition.
