He was Foreign Secretary from 2016 to 2018 and Mayor of London from 2008 to 2016. Johnson was Member of Parliament for Henley from 2001 to 2008 and has been MP for Uxbridge and South Ruislip since 2015. Ideologically, Johnson identifies as a one-nation conservative.

The SNP challenged the vote but with such a huge majority for the bill now goes to the Lords for revision before being sent for Royal Assent later on Wednesday.Amid claims and counter-claim about “drinking pints of cold sick” and “steaming mugs of excrement” MPs swallowed the deal whole with the alternative being a no-deal Brexit in two days time.With Labour having said it would support the EU (Future Relationship) Bill in the division lobbies, the bill is expected to pass comfortably in both the Commons and the Lords.Keir Starmer said the agreement was flawed but the alternative of ending the transition period.
