Bolton School Junior Boys pupil Milan Kumar was inspired to write a book after completing a lockdown challenge in spring, to read 50 books over three months The Lostock youngster spent the following weeks and months writing a book of his own, titled Covid Christmas Parade, about a young boy spreading festive cheer during the pandemic.
Money from sales of the book is being donated to the National Literacy Trust, to help support other children whose literacy and learning have been most affected by Covid-19.
Milan also raised money for the charity in the summer by cycling 50 laps a day, for 10 days, around the University of Bolton Stadium.
