McDonald's is launching a host of new menu items today to celebrate its 50th birthday - with new burgers, sides and desserts.

The limited-edition menu, launching at 11am on Wednesday, July 17, includes three brand new desserts and a new cheesy side as well as a selection of returning fan favourites.

New additions include a ring donut with a strawberry-flavoured filling, topped with a buttercream-flavoured icing and sprinkles - the Birthday Cake Donut.

McDonald’s will donate 20p from each Birthday Cake Donut sale to Ronald McDonald House Charities UK, which also celebrates its 35 th birthday this year.
