BBC Breakfast fans celebrated the ‘fabulous’ unveiling of the name of a young raven at the Tower of London. Viewers enjoyed the ‘pomp’ which included an orchestra of trumpet players who played ahead of the hotly anticipated announcement.
BBC Breakfast weather presenter Carol Kirkwood popped down to the infamous royal tower on the rainy London morning to announce the ravenna’s - a female raven - name.
The British public had been invited to vote for the name of the raven chick at the Tower of London with five names on the shortlist- Branwen, Matilda, Winifred, Florence and Bronte.
Carol chatted with one of the Tower’s Ravenmasters, Chris Skaife, who explained the ravenna was welcomed into the world in May alongside her brother Edgar Allan
