BBC Breakfast's Dan Walker and Sally Nugent appeared on the show on Bank Holiday Monday with a busy schedule ahead - including an upcoming interview about guide dogs.

The duo were speaking with an MP about Prime Minister Boris Johnson when a loud bark was heard in the background, but it wasn't from the MP's home.

While Dan and Sally swiftly moved past the bark, the duo addressed it once they ended the interview and returned to the studio, confirming that it came from their end.Dan said: "You might have heard a bit of barking," prompting Sally to ask: "Do you think people did hear the giant woof halfway through that interview?"Dan told Sally that he thinks it was definitely heard by viewers as he told fans that it "wasn't John" who had appeared on the show to discuss sport.He said: "There was a guide dog outside," while Sally said: "I can't remember his name!

We've got a grown up guide dog and a six month old, I've already said I want the six month old by me."Dan then remembered their names as he said they're called Spencer and Nash, prompting Sally to say she believes the older dog was likely to have been the one who barked.As they went to the ad-break, Dan and Sally welcomed the dogs onto the set - but it seems one dog was particularly friendly towards Dan.He said: "Nash came up, said hello and then stuck his tongue down my throat."I've just been French kissed by a dog, before eight o'clock in the morning."
