BBC Breakfast presenter Dan Walker admitted it was "crazy" that EastEnders actress Rose Ayling-Ellis won Strictly Come Dancing.

The Deaf actress captured the hearts of the nation when she danced with professional partner Giovanni Pernice - including a completely silent moment in one routine which let viewers into her world. And it was that enthralling act which scooped them a BAFTA for Must-See Moment at last night's ceremony (May 8), with Rochelle Humes using British Sign Language to present the award.Dan and his co-star Sally Nugent were chatting about the ceremony on Monday's programme - with Dan admitting he still can't quite believe what happened. The presenter placed fifth in the BBC dance show last year."It's always a good turnout at the BAFTAs," Dan commented, as he added: "I think there were some worthy winners there.

And Rose and Giovanni... I was about four metres away. It was amazing."Dan said: "It was one of those special things which I think really resonated with so many people who watched as well, and obviously they went on to win, too, didn't they."Sally then chimed in: "And also, I think it was also one of those moments where perhaps in the build-up to it, they didn't know quite how special it was going to be - and then it really was."Dan replied: "Yeah, and it was that opportunity for Rose to open the door and invite not only Giovanni, but the rest of us, into her world."It's still crazy to think that somebody who can't hear the music won a dancing competition.
