Family of the vulnerable 17-year-old boy feared he could die after he was slashed in the face and neck before being stabbed in the leg by the violent group in Liverpool, Merseyside.
The shocking incident involved eight thugs who targeted the boy, who has not been named, as he met a 17-year-old female friend in Walton Hall Park in the English city.
The brutal attack took place on Friday with the group shouting at the boy before one attacker, armed with the knife, slashed him in the neck and face.
