Gangs of London has had Sky Atlantic viewers on the edge of their seats. The show stars Peaky Blinders actor Joe Cole alongside a multicultural cast and delves into the capital’s modern-day gangland underworld.
Cole plays Sean, the heir to a notorious criminal gang, and who has his work cut out to restore order following his father’s untimely death.
But as is often the case, real life trumps fiction. London today is home to dozens of brutal gangs, and none are more feared than the Mali Boys.
The gang earned its name because many of the founding members came to Britain as children from war-torn Somalia and even by the violent standards of London's fearsome gangland landscape, the Mali Boys are renowned for their uncompromising brutality.
