Bridgerton season two, at least not in terms of its styling. As Erika Ökvist, Bridgerton's lead hair and makeup designer, tells me on a Zoom from London, “These characters would not have spared a penny.” Ökvist is right.
It's wonderful to see the return of so many of the characters we fell in love with during Bridgerton's first season, and it's obvious a lot has changed in a year.
Eloise (Claudia Jessie) has had a bit of a glow-up as she makes her debut into society, Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) , and Penelope (Nicola Coughlan) has a newfound confidence.
None of this is by accident.But as exciting as it was for Ökvist to jump into the world of Regency-era England for , it was also bittersweet.
