Manchester magistrates' court this morning (August 14).He spoke only to confirm his name, address and date of birth.The teen, from Whiston in Merseyside, is charged with one offence of murder of Steven James McMyler, dating back to August 6 this year.No pleas were entered.Shortly before 7.50pm on August 6 2020, police received reports of concern for a man outside the church on Bishopgate, Wigan.Steven McMyler died at the scene.No bail application was made in respect of the boy.The case was adjourned for a preliminary hearing to be heard at Manchester Crown Court on August 17.Addressing the boy, District Judge Jack McGarva said: "This case can only be dealt with by judge and jury at the Crown Court."A Judge in the Crown Court will review the.
