Scotland is the only nation in the world whose top-selling soft drink isn't a Coca-Cola product, it is, of course, Irn-Bru. Ginger is our 'other' national drink - and one we're very proud of.

Here are 10 interesting facts about Irn-Bru that you may not know.In 2005, rumours abounded within the Scottish Muslim community that Irn-Bru contained alcohol, leading to concerns that some may not be able to enjoy their favourite soft drink because of their religion.Barr's soon confirmed that there is alcohol in their popular product, but that the amount is so minute as to be virtually negligible, meaning everyone, including the Muslim community, can continue to savour Irn-Bru.The company that would become Barr's was established in Falkirk in 1875 by Robert Barr.
