Kate Middleton might still make an appearance at the King's official birthday celebrations on Saturday, 15 June. Despite undergoing preventative cancer treatment, the 42 year old royal is reportedly considering showing up on the Buckingham Palace balcony after the Trooping the Colour ceremony if she feels up to it.
Kensington Palace confirmed that the Princess of Wales wasn't taking part in the final dress rehearsal last week, but her attendance at the main event hasn't been ruled out.
As the colonel-in-chief of the Irish Guards, Kate, 42, would typically salute at The Colonel's Review, the second of three ticketed Trooping the Colour events.
However, palace insiders have stressed that the Princess isn't expected to resume official duties until doctors give her the green light, and any appearances at royal events will likely be few and far between.
