Following claims that Prince Harry is planning a trip to the UK in an attempt to repair his bond with the Royal Family, a leading expert has questioned whether this is likely after a number of missed opportunities on the Duke’s side.
It comes after a number of perceived snubs to Harry - including missing out on an invitation to June’s Trooping the Colour, not meeting King Charles during his May visit, and being left off the guest list for his close friend, the Duke of Westminster's wedding. “If Harry had really wanted to confront his family and patch things up, he would surely have allotted more time to his recent visits so that his father – at least – could make arrangements to see him,” former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond questions, as she speaks exclusively to OK!
Jennie continues: “I don’t think there’s any chance of William wanting to do so, particularly with all he has on his plate right now.
So, I’ll believe this when I see it, but it will be lovely if he could indeed spend some time, perhaps at Balmoral, during the summer and make peace with his father.” The expert’s comments come after it was claimed that after viewing footage of the King's official birthday from his home in the US, Prince Harry was allegedly left feeling "upset and emotional" upon seeing footage of the Princess of Wales.
