Jessica Pegula has been dumped out of the French Open at the quarter-final stage after losing in straight sets to Poland's Iga Swiatek in Paris on Wednesday.Pegula missed the chance to set a new career-best in a Grand Slam, losing in her third-straight quarter-final, but in truth she was comfortably bested by World No 1 Swiatek - who has now won an incredible 33 matches on the trot.Defeat means she'll receive around £370,000 in prize-money.

A pretty hefty sum. But in reality it's just a drop in the bucket for the American - who happens to be the world's wealthiest tennis player.Pegula has an eye-watering fortune of around £4.5 billion - enough to buy Chelsea football club - though it technically belongs to her father Terrence Pegula - who owns The Buffalo Bills - until she inherits it.Nevertheless, her family's ridiculous wealth means Pegula won't ever have to worry about the prospect of prize money distracting her during tournaments.

It'll always be peanuts.Last year, she explained how she used to shy away from her family ties, but has since learned to embrace who she is and doesn't let it impact her career - the one place where she can be herself and not just her father's daughter."When I was younger, it was more like I wanted to make a name for myself and then I realised as I got older, I should embrace the whole family aspect of it instead," Pegula told Wide World of Sports.Seeing as how absurdly rich she is, should Pegula forfeit her tournament prize money?

Let us know what you think in the comments section."It was almost hurting me in a way because it wasn't going to go away and I learned to embrace that, kind of have fun with it.
