Little Simz has spoken about her forthcoming performance at Glastonbury 2024, teasing that fans can expect “an immersive experience”.The Mercury Prize-winning rapper is set to perform on the iconic Pyramid Stage at this year’s edition of the festival, which will be headlined by Dua Lipa, Coldplay and SZA.Simz headlined the Wests Holts Stage in 2022, with NME saying that the show delivered “flawless determinism from rap’s tour de force” in a four-star review. The BBC to celebrate The Beatles following announcement of ‘Now And Then’
BBC has announced that it will be broadcasting a series of programmes to celebrate the legacy of The Beatles.The new itinerary from the broadcaster comes following the recently shared details of the band’s “final” song – which is set to arrive next week and will be the last to feature all four members.Titled ‘Now And Then’, the project was completed by Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr with the help of AI, and is comprised of past demo recordings of John Lennon, which the surviving members salvaged and used to make a new song.To celebrate the forthcoming release – which the band teased with an image of a cassette tape across social media and internet as well as projections across the Fab Four’s native Liverpool – the BBC has also announced that it will be showing a range of programmes dedicated to the rock veterans.These include an extended edition of The One Show on BBC One, set to be shown next Wednesday (November 1). Shown between 7pm and 7:45pm, it will see BBC Radio 6 Music’s Lauren Laverne introducing and commenting on the exclusive UK TV broadcast of Now And Then – The Last Beatles Song – a poignant short film, written and directed by Oliver Murray, which tells the story behind the track.Similarly, a new podcast series from BBC Radio 2 and BBC Sounds titled Eras: The Beatles will be broadcast to celebrate the release.

Limited Edition radio show is returning to BBC Radio 6 Music this month.The actor and musician has hosted two previous instalments of the show, both in the autumns of 2020 and 2021, and kicks off this year’s 10-part series on September 17.Murphy will broadcast a “nocturnal playlist to end the weekend” from 10pm-12pm on Sundays in which he’ll “share songs from all corners of his record collection and share why they hold a special place in his life”, a press release states.The Oppenheimer star announced the news during a chat with Nemone (sitting in for Lauren Laverne) on BBC Radio 6 Music earlier today (September 1). BBC have shared details of their coverage for next month’s Glastonbury Festival.Glastonbury 2023 – which will be held from June 21-25 at Worthy Farm in Pilton, Somerset and headlined by Arctic Monkeys, Guns N’ Roses and Elton John.Yesterday (May 30), the full line-up and stage times were shared, with new names added including Queens Of The Stone Age and Rick Astley.Now, details of the full TV and radio schedule for Glastonbury’s BBC coverage has been shared.BBC Music’s presenters for the festival include Lauren Laverne, Jo Wiley, Clara Amfo and Jack Saunders, with pre-festival programming including an updated version of the Glastonbury: 50 Years & Counting documentary, first shared for last year’s event.From there, over 40 hours of TV coverage will be broadcast alongside 85 hours of live radio broadcast from the festival.New for 2023 includes British Sign Language on Pyramid Stage performances, a ‘Glastonbury’s Greatest Hits’ show streaming on iPlayer from June 19-25 and running down the best performances from past years, a new We Love Glastonbury documentary and more.Emily Eavis said: “We’ve worked in partnership with the BBC since 1997, and they’ve become an incredibly valuable part of what we do at Glastonbury.
