Vitali Klitschko has called out leaders Boris Johnson and Joe Biden to send more help to Ukraine amid the ongoing war with Russia, saying they “need more help to win”.
The boxing legend spoke alongside his brother Wladimir to GB Newsas they continued to fight and defend their country from Russian soldiers.
Vitali, 50, the mayor of Kyiv, said: “I want to say thank you very much to the US and to Great Britain for all their humanitarian help and all for their financial support.“But it’s not enough.
We need more weapons and we need more help. We have to stop the Russians. The Ukrainian Army is so strong and our soldiers are destroying Russian plans, but we need more help to win.” The former heavyweight explained the reason why his home nation has been so resolute so far, saying the two nations are fighting for different causes. "It’s like this, Russia's Army and Russia’s soldiers are fighting for money.
