The country has had to stay in lockdown during the last few days of warm weather, but cooler temperatures today should discourage people tempted to break the law by flocking to beaches and national parks.
Good Friday was the hottest day of the year so far, when temperatures reached 26C (79F). But that balmy weather will feel like a distant memory as Britain has to put up with an average temperature of 13C (55.4F) today.
