Brits have been warned to brace themselves for a washout as high winds and torrential rain batter the UK. Temperatures are set to plummet to 1C in parts of the country while winds of up to 60mph keep the weather feeling wintry.
Much of the UK will be dry and mild today, but Saturday is forecast to see wild weather moving eastwards across the west of England, Wales and Scotland.
The Met Office has also warned of heavy rain on Sunday following days of unsettled weather. There is a potential for weather warnings on the cards after days of heavy rain brought further flooding misery to parts of Wales and southwest England.
