Paddy McGuinness has shared a positive health update as he continues to recover following knee surgery. The 48-year-old Top Gear presenter picked up the injury whilst playing in Soccer Aid 2021 in September, alongside stars such as Usain Bolt, Olly Murs, Chunkz and Jamie Redknapp. He was eventually forced to retire from the charity football competition, joking at the time that the knock was “not something that can be sorted with the magic sponge”.Just last week the father-of-three underwent a procedure on the dodgy knee, having waited a whopping six months before the surgery could take place, reports the Express.

He has been keeping his 564,000 Twitter followers up to date, and said that while his condition is “getting better” by the day, he still has to commit himself to plenty of exercises as part of his recuperation regimen.

On Friday, Paddy posted a photo of his wound on Twitter, with a bandage seen covering part of his knee. And for his caption, he wrote: “On the mend.

10 days post lateral meniscus surgery, had my first physio today. “Did a few shallow squats and some glute work. Definitely getting better and stronger every day."He concluded his message by wishing good luck to those who may have had a similar procedure, adding: “Good luck with your recovery, if you’ve had the same Op? #FridayFeeling.”One Twitter user named @claire_saxton appeared overjoyed by the good news of Paddy’s recovery while shedding light on her own physio ordeal.
