Thick cloud coverage and heavy rain are on the cards today - a marked change from blue skies and highs of 22C on Thursday. The Environment Agency has issued 15 flood alerts across England with heavy, thundery showers expected - particularly in the south.
Highs of around 14C mean a much milder day than Brits were treated to yesterday, but fears of weather warnings due to severe thunder this afternoon have not come to fruition.
However, Met Office forecaster Alex Deakin said thunder is still certainly likely in the south as the day progresses. "A very different day across the south on Friday, with more cloud and some heavy rain - something we haven't seen for quite some time," he said.
