A "mishmash" of weather on Wednesday sees flood alerts due to more incoming heavy rain, though in parts sunshine and humidity could see highs of 24C.
Met Office forecaster Alex Deakin said July will start where June left off with the weather continuing to "chop and change" between bright skies and downpours - with 40mph winds expected later in the week. "Another day where there will be some pretty heavy showers around...but not everywhere," he said. "Most will see at least some sunny spells through the day and after a windy start to the week the winds continuing to ease and they should be reasonably light for most of us on Wednesday."
