TV's Lorraine Kelly named as new patron of Dunblane Centre on its 20th anniversary

TV legend Lorraine Kelly CBE has been named as the Dunblane Centre’s Newest Patron on the occasion of it's 20th anniversary.The journalist and presenter forged links in Dunblane after reporting on the tragedy in 1996.The centre was built for the community through funds donated to the Stirling Observer Dunblane Help Fund in the wake of the tragedy, in tribute to those affected, and has been marking two decades of serving the community.A spokesperson for the centre said: "Today as we mark 20 years since the Dunblane Centre opened its doors, we are thrilled to announce the very exciting news that Lorraine Kelly has accepted our invitation to be a patron."Lorraine formed strong bonds in Dunblane after reporting on the tragedy in 1996 and has been supportive of the families and the town ever since.

She joins fellow Patrons, Dr Mick North, Lord Robertson and Lord Forsyth."Lorraine said: “I’m so honoured to be asked to be a Patron for the Dunblane Centre.

It’s such a brilliant place for the whole community and it’s been so heartening to see something so positive come from unimaginable tragedy.
