Phillip Schofield will be back on our screens very soon in Cast Away, as he hopes to tell his ‘side of the story’ after the scandal that meant he left his job at ITV.The ex-presenter of This Morning has filmed for 10 days on a remote island on the coast of Madagascar - which will be shown across three episodes.
In a dramatic trailer, Phillip says: "I've been cast away on a desert island completely on my own. All I have is camera gear, I can say whatever I want about whoever I want.
It's my chance to tell my side of my story. I know what I did was unwise, but is it enough to absolutely destroy someone?" and is then seen breaking down in tears.
As his voiceover plays in the new clip, Phillip can be seen raising a hand to his face as he cries on the deserted island. The host walked away from ITV early last year after the scandal that he had been having an affair with a much younger male co-worker.The events also led to the breakdown of his friendship with friend and co-presenter Holly Willoughby.
