Phillip Schofield has been on a hiatus from broadcasting since he left ITV's This Morning last spring. Now 62, he's back on TV tonight (Monday) on Channel 5's Cast Away.
The former Dancing On Ice host appears in the three-episode series where a celebrity is stranded on a desert island off the coast of Madagascar.
For 10 days, he becomes star and documentarian, capturing their own experiences using various cameras. The three hour-long episodes are on Channel 5 over the next three nights at 9pm - Monday, September 30, Tuesday, October 1 and Wednesday, October 2, reports the Mirror. He became a much-loved household name when he graduated from presenting on CBBC’s Broom Cupboard with sidekick Gordon The Gopher to be the king of daytime TV.
