The second episode of Cast Away, in which Phillip Schofield filmed himself stranded on a deserted island near Madagascar for 10 days, contains more scenes of the former TV presenter talking about his career and how it came to an abrupt end last year, and hints that he will “bow out” and not return to TV in the future.The episode on Tuesday 1 October features Phillip becoming emotional after catching his first fish, and then getting angry when he talked about the people who he believes were instrumental in ending his career at This Morning.
Without naming names, Phillip mentions being “thrown under the bus” by some of his co-workers, and being let go by his management.
He also mentions “three s**ts,” who he believes didn’t support him when he left the morning chat show following rumours of a feud between him and co-presenter Holly Willoughby, and revelations that he had been hiding an affair with a younger male staff member on This Morning for several years.
As he sits around a fire and adds extra wood to keep it going because he “has more to say,” Phillip then declares “I don’t want to do it anymore.
