Tributes have been paid to a hero police officer after her sudden death. PC Jane Bridgewater passed away on November 4 'following medical complications', British Transport Police confirmed in a statement.
PC Bridgewater, who joined BTP in 1998 and had more than 20 years' service, was among the first officers on scene after the Manchester Arena terrorist bombing in 2017. REA MORE : Giving evidence at the public inquiry in September, she detailed helping victims Alison Howe and Elaine McIver.
PC Bridgewater was based with the force in Manchester. In a statement Chief Superintendent Glen Alderson said: "It's with great sadness we can confirm a serving police officer, PC Jane Bridgewater, very sadly passed away following medical complications
