On Thursday's edition of the ITV lunchtime show Denise Welch and Carol McGiffin were reunited with their old pal Kate Thornton.

The presenter hosted Loose Women between 2009 and 2011 and hasn't been on the show since. Introducing Kate, the show's anchor Kaye Adams said: "Our next guest is a familiar face on the panel, although she hasn’t actually been in the studio with us for more than 10 years. We sit there and we react to what’s going on in the world." She added: "It’s nice to be back." The 49-year-old TV star, who also hosted The X Factor before Dermot O'Leary, was on Loose Women to talk about her menopause experience.
