These are the first images of how Manchester Aquatics Centre will look following a £31million refurb. The venue, which was built for the 2002 Commonwealth Games, was fully open for the final time today (Friday) before work begins.
Doors are expected to reopen to the public in summer 2023. A reduced programme of swimming for schools, Britain's Para-swimming team and the public will continue from December 13 in the centre's training pool during the eighteen month closure.
