Pictures have captured the shocking scenes in a Welsh village that was severely hit by flash flooding on Wednesday night. Torrents of rain fell on the western part of the UK last night, causing serious flooding ahead of a forecasted heatwave in the coming days.
Several homes in Pentre, near Treorchy, have been badly affected by the torrential rain, only four months after it was devastated by Storm Dennis, Wales Online reported.
One of the streets worst hit then - Price Street - seems to have suffered most again, with one eye-witness saying that the water was “coming up through the manholes”.
