Wetherspoons has hiked up the price of a pint with boozy Brits forced to pay up to 10p more per drink.Most of its UK locations will see the cost increase with Londoners set to be the hardest hit with an extra 20p added to the cost of a tipple in the capital.The move came in at the start of March and means the price has increased by two percent in most areas and four percent in London.But Wetherspoons insisted its prices were still fair and a spokesperson told Somerset Live: “Occasionally Wetherspoons does increase the price of its drinks.“We always aim to keep our prices as competitive as possible. We believe that our drinks offer still represents great value for money."But it isn’t all bad news for punters looking to save a few quid – the price of steak and curry club deals has been slashed by up to £1.60 as part of an offer on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
