LEGENDARY Broadway costume designer Tony Walton has died after suffering complications from a stroke. The 87-year-old passed away in his New York apartment on Wednesday.
His daughter Emma Walton Hamilton confirmed his death to the Hollywood Reporter. Walton was married to actress Julie Andrews between 1959 and 1968.
The designer was a visual consultant on the 1964 iconic Disney movie Mary Poppins. The production designer won an Oscar for his work on the 1979 Bob Fosse film All That Jazz.
He also scooped an Emmy in 1985 for his work in the tragedy movie Death of a Salesman, which stars legendary actor Dustin Hoffman.
