a homeless man was jailed after attacking a man he said had threatened to set his tent on fire. James Byrne, 33, carried out the attack in Manchester city centre on June 21, and it was captured in disturbing CCTV.Byrne claimed his victim had also been selling Spice to “young girls”, Manchester Crown Court heard.Jailing him for 20 months at Manchester Crown Court, Judge Alan Conrad QC said: "You say that you had a grievance with him, but it didn't in any way justify what you had done." The victim suffered a “significant cut” to his face and swelling, the Manchester Evening News reported.
